![]() ![]() I was pretty on and off on both versions because I can't keep up with them plus the several other mobile games I was playing at the time. Then the FGO JP's 2nd anniversary started and I thought it would be a great opportunity to begin. I was right to an extent, but at least there were some FSN servants I can latch on to. A couple years later FGO NA was about to launch and I decided I might as well start with this one expecting not to know most of the characters in this game. I didn't start FGO JP when it first launched because back then I wasn't that into the Fate franchise (only seen UBW and F/Z), so I thought this game wasn't for me. My NA account is already miles ahead of my JP one, even though I was a launch day player!Īnd that's my story, I don't know if anyone'll bother reading it but I had fun typing it~ When NA started I saw it as the chance to start over and actually do everything right this time, so I did. Since then I've been playing off and on (more off than on) but I never could really get into it again. ![]() ![]() That was also around the time when I had just moved to Japan, so I thought I had better things to do than to play a doomed mobage.Įventually, I think around 2016 Halloween people around me started talking about FGO and how great it was and how Camelot was amazing and I was like "What? How?" so I went back to playing it and the game was great! But I have a kinda strong perfectionist trait so my account having missed like all the welfares and so many materials from so many events was really barren, which put me off from the game. I couldn't believe that a developer who made the cheapest and easiest node to be the most efficient for farming would ever be competent enough to improve the game (jokes on me, right?) so I just quit. There's where I lost all hope for the game. Okayish? Didn't feel like much of an event. Technical issues aside, the animations weren't particularly great looking, the story wasn't that great, AP recharged at 10 minutes instead of 5, the 10-pull didn't even guarantee a 3* servant so full-CE pulls were the norm (and it cost 40 quartz!), there was pretty much no gold embers, we had to level stuff with bronze and silver (even the login rewards were like one star all exp), material farming was too random, monument farming was a sadistic joke, and the list goes on.Īs a fate fan I decided to keep going and see how things would turn out because we hadn't had events yet, and events are the soul of mobages. I was there as soon as the server was accessible didn't last long, got my cute pre-registration free Saber Lily and was ready to play this beautiful game. troubled, they postponed the release target a couple times and the information about the game was pretty dry. Since before launch FGO development seemed. I've been a fate fan since pretty much the VN release, so when word got out about a whole new game I was really happy and started following it and all. I know you didn't ask for it but let me tell you my long story of love and hate with JP FGO. You'd think someone who can read Japanese would be playing JP, right!?
